Meeting Perla, mother from Ciudad Obregón -Mexico
Living in Ciudad Obregón, a city in the North of Mexico, Perla is woman full of dreams, a professional baker making fancy party cakes and most of all a loving mother to her princess María Elisa.
The precious bond she holds with her daughter caught our heart and made us want to know more!
While watching over her little one with a caring eye, Perla took time to answer our questions.
WHAT HAS THE LOCKDOWN TAUGHT YOU?
I have learnt to appreciate the small details of life, which actually means each and every single thing!
Do not take anything for granted! We all believe that tomorrow we will still be able to talk, work, live and do not even give it a thought! But the truth is that life can change in a split second, something we seem to forget in our fast paced lives...
We already have the most beautiful things in life, the look of my daughter when she wakes up, cooking with my mother, a hug from my husband. All is here and now! The smallest things are in the end the most valuable.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST GRATEFUL FOR?
I am grateful for my health and my family, the blessing of having them together. They are treasures!
I thank God for having my family close by in this difficult time.
WHAT IS THE FAVORITE ACTIVITY/CRAFT YOU HAVE SHARED WITH YOUR CHILD SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE LOCKDOWN?
Playing princesses! Lately my daughter has had an obsession with Disney princesses and wants to dress up all day long! We also dance a lot! She loves music too.
CAN YOU SHARE A FAVORITE RECIPE FROM YOUR COUNTRY?
There are too many! but if I could only choose one it would be tacos, Mexico's heritage for the world. My favorite is roasted meat tacos.
"A life without Mexican food is like no life at all" - Unknown.
Let me share my special recipe with you.
WHICH INSTAGRAM ACCOUNTS INSPIRES YOU THE MOST AT THE MOMENT?
Annica Noëlle & Liliana Grace, @annica_noelle.
I love her account! Much more than just luxurious girls' fashion, she shares the beauty of childhood in all its innocence and has the best children's fashion sense by far.
