How did you decide on the golf theme ?
I grew up with a dad and brother who were big golfers. Elliot definitely shows an interest in it, and actually has toddler sized golf clubs. Golf lessons are in his future.
It was just a matter of finding the perfect moment for the party. The Hole in One theme is so very popular yet I wanted to do something a little different. Par-tee for THREE seemed darling and age appropriate, the occasion was too good to miss!

Where did you host the event?
We hosted a small family brunch at a restaurant called Corsair. It is located within the JW Marriott Miami resort which is on a beautiful golf course. Very on-theme!
We reserved a private room which allowed me to add in my own decor.
Can you describe the party decor?
Being that it was such an intimate gathering, the decor was very simple, yet aesthetic. I actually did the floral centerpieces on my own. For the first time ever! I filled vases with golf balls and added an array of white florals & greenery. I must say, I underestimated the amount of work that goes into floral arrangements!
I also found hand made ceramic golf carts on eBay, which were crafted in my color scheme of choice- blues & greens. The perfect touch to our table scape.

Can you describe the children's outfits?
Elliot & Emilia both wore custom Charlotte sy Dimby outfits. We started with the fabric, a Kelly green gingham. This set the tone. Then the team created embroideries for each- golf theme for Elliot (of course) and a gorgeous bow for Emilia. I wanted them to coordinate, but not be super matchy-matchy.
Elliot wore navy loafers from Janie & Jack and Emilia wore L’amour sandals & a Wee Ones bow. They looked precious!

What about the cake?
The cake was the talk of the party! I used a new (for me) vendor, Ale Party & Cakes, and she executed my vision to perfection. We did a two-tier cake with golf details throughout. It was as delicious as it was beautiful!

What was your favourite moment of the party?
My favorite part was to gather all together to celebrate Elliot. He is the baby of the family and it is so special to see just how cherished he truly is. It was so sweet seeing how happy and excited he was. He loves singing happy birthday! It was the most beautiful day.

Do you already have ideas for next year? What are your favourite themes for boys?
You know how much joy it brings me to plan my children’s parties, so I always have future ideas! I must admit, boy themes are more challenging than girls. A few of my favorites have been ones that I have already used including Peter Rabbit, sailboats/nautical and golf theme. I also love an equestrian theme. Perhaps we will do that in the coming years! Or a Western theme?
