CAN YOU PLEASE TALK ABOUT THE PARTY INSPIRATION ?

The party theme was 'The Old French carrousel'. The inspiration came from the iconic Atelier Choux carrousel print which I have always loved.

Four antique merry-go-round horses found locally further convinced me that this theme was the right one.

CAN YOU DESCRIBE THE INVITATIONS?

I wanted classic and elegant invitations with a sweet touch! Of course the highlight of the cards was the French carrousel.

The invitations were handmade by an artist from Paraguay, a graphic designer with a very delicate style. The front of the card had a 3D effect carrousel. Opening the card closed with a pink velvet ribbon revealed all the party information.

CAN YOU TALK ABOUT THE PARTY DECOR?

We decorated the venue with panels to match the theme : they had carrousels and hot air balloons prints in shades of pink, white and gold. They were surrounded by lots of pastel balloons, fresh flowers and of course the 4 antique carrousel horses. We added white balloons tied together to look like clouds above our heads.

We also laid a pretty table and had a beautiful 3 tier-cake with a little real carrousel on top. We had lots of cute cupcakes and candies all matching the party theme.

For this very special occasion the Charlotte sy Dimby atelier created a custom made dress for us.

We paired it with glossy black vintage style Mary Janes and white panties.

For myself I found a carrousel print dress which coordinated really well with the theme.

WHAT TYPE OF GAMES DID YOU ORGANISE FOR THE CHILDREN?

To entertain the kids we created blocks with different activities. We had the supermarket, the nursery and the kitchen where children could play and let their imagination whirl.

We also had a ball pool, a huge inflated jumping castle and slide.
